Several years ago, we decided to leave the Sacramento area and move to the foothills of southern El Dorado County. We were fortunate enough, to find a beautiful site with rolling hills, filled with oak and pine trees and three ponds. We knew this would be a wonderful place to raise our Arabian horses and to grow grapes. 

We have raised Arabians for approximately twenty years. Ascension Arabians is the home of U.S. National Pleasure Driving Reserve Champion, “Diamond Bask”, a son of the legendary “Bask”. We have carefully selected mares to breed with Diamond, resulting in offspring that are beautiful, athletic and love people. We breed, show and sell our horses. At the present time, we stand three stallions, “Diamond Bask” and his sons, “Diamonds ‘n Jazz” and “Diamonds Red Mist”.

 Our farm is open by appointment and we are always willing to show visitors our horses.

We began preparing our property for grapes eight years ago. We now have several acres planted with Portuguese Ports and Barbera grapes which are sold to Chateau Routon, Inc. Winery.

We feel grateful to live in a beautiful location surrounded by our horses and vineyards.
